I just checked the calendar and Nov 23rd is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving--so staying up late to watch the Samantha Movie would be no problem (no school on Wed for my kids).
Anyhow, I was thinking it would be fun to have a Samantha Movie party and wondered if anyone was planning the same. I don't have any ideas on what to do yet, but thought it would be fun to have a party.

That's a great idea! I was going to suggest looking through the American Girl Party Book as well. We purchased ours, but your local library probably has a copy. It has wonderful ideas for each girl and has very nice templates you can use for invitations, party favors, etc.

Oooh, what a fun idea! Thanks for posting the ideas too, Melissa... I bet that book will sell very well after the movie is on. Most the food on the list sounds wonderful- great for a kid/adult combo party.
I like the idea of finger foods (save the carpet!) and letting the girls dress up like Samantha would. I'll have to pull out my AG party book and get some ideas for the food. I wonder what time the show will be on.

I may have to tape the movie. We always go to Harper's Ferry for Thanksgiving and stay in western Maryland at one of our favorite KOA campgrounds. I know that this campground does not have cable. I think to be safe, I will tape the movie on two TV's just in case.I have been thinking of leaving early on Thursday so that I can be home to watch the movie live.
Samantha's Friendship Fun has many of the same crafts and foods. It's really cute and I am so glad I bought it since I didn't have her old craft and cookbooks.
It sounds like a wonderful idea. I think I'll do invitations and let my daughter ask her doll loving friend to get dressed up and bring their favorite! We'll have to dig for some old yummy recipes and a craft they can do before the movie starts and then they can all sack out here if they want!
